St. Louis Fall Color
Brilliant fall color is starting to show up around St. Louis, Missouri this week. Pictured here, the Kirkwood Baptist Church near the corner of Woodlawn and Adams Ave. (also Lockwood Blvd in Webster Groves). Although this site was not acquired by the congregation until 1947, the Kirkwood Baptist Church can trace it's roots all the way back to a meeting between two reverends in July of 1870 in Kirkwood, MO.

I had to think for a bit, but I know right where that is... my grandparents used to live in Webster Groves on Kirkham... now, I have tears... they passed away several years ago & I miss them so much!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous fall color in that tree... fall is well on it's way here, too! =)
Tricia, I'm so sorry. I lost my grandparents a few years back, too. They are still constantly in my thoughts. They introduced me to the Poplar Bluff area and Johnson's Shut-Ins...places I very much look forward to taking my kids soon.
ReplyDeleteHow close are you to peak down there? I plan on cruising Taum Sauk next weekend with the kids.
